❓ Frequently Asked Questions
When you first open SnapClean, you'll be prompted to grant photo access permissions. If you accidentally denied permissions, you can enable them by going to:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → SnapClean
- Android: Settings → Apps → SnapClean → Permissions → Photos
SnapClean offers four cleanup modes:
- Recently Added: Focus on photos added in the last 30 days
- Old Photos: Review photos older than 1 year
- Surprise Me: Random selection of photos from your gallery
- Select Album: Choose a specific album or folder to clean
SnapClean moves deleted photos to your device's trash/recycle bin. You can restore them by:
- iOS: Photos app → Albums → Recently Deleted
- Android: Google Photos → Library → Trash (if using Google Photos)
Note: Photos in trash are automatically deleted after 30 days (iOS) or 60 days (Android).

App crashes or won't open
Try force-closing the app and reopening it. If the problem persists, restart your device and try again. Make sure you're running the latest version of SnapClean.

Photos not loading
Check that SnapClean has photo permissions enabled. Go to your device settings and ensure photo access is granted. Also verify that you have photos in your gallery.

Can't delete photos
Ensure SnapClean has permission to modify photos. On iOS, this is included with photo access. On Android, you may need to grant additional storage permissions.

App shows "No photos found"
This usually means either SnapClean doesn't have photo permissions, or your photo library is empty. Check permissions and verify you have photos in your device's gallery.

Performance issues
If the app is slow or unresponsive, try closing other apps, clearing your device's cache, or restarting your device. Large photo libraries may take longer to load initially.
